Mobilizing your custom Domino applications for BlackBerry® users doesn't have to be difficult. We'll show you how to do it. In this two-part, informative web-based workshop, you'll follow along as we take an application from Domino to the BlackBerry, then teach you how to improve upon it.

What You'll Learn

In the Mobilizing Domino Applications I class, you'll learn all of the core features to mobilize your first application. By the end of the first session, you will be able to design a mobile version of your name and address book that synchronizes new content automatically to your BlackBerry device. Your new BlackBerry application will support native click to dial and click to email features, an easy to use tabbed interface, quick search view and "bookmark" feature.

The second session will build upon the application designed in the first session, teaching you how to add on device forms for adding new documents and editing existing ones. Using simple scripting, we'll improve the application's interface by adding icons that display in views when telephone numbers are available, and simply data entry with custom pick lists and conditionally displayed fields. We'll even add a cool mapping feature that let's you launch Google™ Maps to pinpoint an address.
