Relavis Corporation Acquired by GROUP Technologies AG

New York – May 31, 2007 – GROUP Technologies AG plans the acquisition of all shares of Relavis Corporation, headquartered in New York City, to expand its business activities in the US. Execution of the contract is expected to be by the end of June.
With Relavis, one of the original ten Lotus business partners and an IBM strategic ISV partner, GROUP Technologies acquires the brand leader in its market, along with its expertise in the customer relationship management (CRM) business sector of the American market. Since the company’s inception, Relavis has served over 600 customers.
Merging GEDYS IntraWare and Relavis creates a clear worldwide leader for CRM applications based on IBM Lotus Notes/Domino. The merger not only strengthens the company's market position but also results in significant synergies in the areas of sales, service, and product development. In particular, customers will benefit from the expanded company footprint, which will allow for extended customer support hours spanning multiple time zones. This enhances the company's ability to provide support and deliver services to customers operating internationally.
A significant aspect of the strategic decision to acquire Relavis is the expertise it has in the areas of mobile and web-based CRM. In the future, these areas of Customer Relationship Management, already in strong demand in the American market today, will increase in importance in the European markets based on the significant benefit to customers. The solutions offered as well as the experience of Relavis open up new opportunities for the strategic development of the existing product portfolios within GROUP.
